We’re beyond excited to share our latest design with you! This layered family home sign is absolutely beautiful, and we couldn’t be happier with how both versions turned out. While originally designed as a family name sign, this piece is incredibly versatile—you can customize it for weddings, bridal or baby showers, housewarming gifts, and so much more!
A Five-Layer Masterpiece
This sign features five intricate layers, including three stunning layers of foliage: magnolia, eucalyptus, huckleberry, and ferns. Each layer is painted a different shade of green, creating a rich, dimensional effect. We used FolkArt Matte Finish in 923 Clover, 6455 Wild Wasabi, and 6456 Mossy Meadow, but you can customize the palette to match your style with any paints or stains you love.
Two Beautiful Versions
Both signs pictured here are made from 3mm tempered hardboard, which cuts and paints beautifully for a clean, polished look. The backer board for the round sign is 6mm basswood. And, of course, you can scale the design to be as large or small as you’d like—imagine how breathtaking a larger version would be! If you go smaller, some of the leaf details will become very small and delicate.
